Welcome to our website. It's a pleasure to have you visit us. Bright Stars
Christian Academy is an "In-home Structured Non Public Private School"
where we invite you to learn more about our program and find out what
we’re doing to make quality Christian education come alive for our
students. Our academic curriculum is solid in fundamentals and fresh with
creativity. A sense of vitality pervades all we do as teachers partner with
parents to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment.
Our motto is that we believe an "Early Beginning" make Bright Stars. Thank
you for visiting and enjoy the site.
Bright Stars Christian Academy Mission Declaration is to inform you that
our program does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, sexual
preference, or any handicapping conditions. The mission is to provide
quality care and education for your child. This includes teaching children
lessons that will last throughout their lives like sharing, cooperation, self-
confidence and respect for others. The first five years of childhood are the
most important in development and learning. So we’ve designed programs
and play time where your child will develop socially, emotionally, intellectually,
and physically.
9 Ways Parents Can Show
Appreciation For Their Child Care Providers
- OPEN COMMUNICATION Explain clearly and carefully
your wishes and expectations about how your child
should be cared for. Also provide updates on problems
and progress that your child is making.
- AGREEMENT ON TERMS AND ARRANGEMENTS You
should fully understand the expectations of the provider
and what you as a parent are agreeing to. A written
agreement between the provider and parents is usually
helpful for both parties.
- HONEST AND TRUST This includes: being honest about
how you believe the arrangement is working, whether
you and your child are happy with the provider. Although
you need to be cautious in order to defend your child,
you should still trust your childcare provider to do the
best for your child.
- ADVANCE NOTICE OF AN AGREEMENT TO ANY
CHANGES Providers have to earn a living as well, so
they deserve advance notice if you are going to stop
using their services, take a vacation, which they will
receive ½ weeks pay, you expect a month’s or six weeks
notice if the provider can no longer care for your child,
you owe the provider a similar notice.
- PICK UP ON TIME AND FOLLOW THROUGH ON ALL
ASSIGNMENTS Providers have a personal life too, and
they should be able to expect that you will pick up your
child at the agreed time. If you agree to provide
diapers, formula or other supplies, you should bring
them before they are needed.
- DON`T SEND SICK KIDS Discuss with your childcare
provider in advance about when you can and cannot
bring sick children.
- PAYMENT ON TIME Child care providers have to pay
bills too, so make arrangements to see that they get
their payment on time (Friday Morning).
- RESPECT Realize that taking care of children is a job
and the childcare provider is a worker, often a working
parent, just as you are. She is not 'just a baby-sitter",
but one of the most important people in your child’s life
and yours.
- NO SURPRISES Your childcare provider should not
learn on Friday that you have decided to take the next
week off from work so you won’t need her.
